LESSONS LEARNED FROM MY APPRENTICESHIP EXPERIENCE
By Kenisha Padgett, Regulatory Intern, Digitas Health
My experience at Publicis Health was such a warm and insightful experience, and I really look forward to applying the leadership and independent skills that my team has taught me in the future.
I started my journey here at Publicis completely blind at what I was about to endure. I was part of the Regulatory team at Digitas Health for my six-month apprenticeship. To be honest, it took me a minute to get used to being an apprentice as I never had any prior experience. Before this opportunity, I didn’t even know what a Regulatory apprentice was!
With the help of my manager Haley, and the rest of our regulatory team, not only did I gain skills in understanding the team’s dashboard (upcoming projects, etc.) in Jira, but I also learned how to submit projects and enforce FDA regulations through Viva, a content lab we use.
Unfortunately my manager Haley resigned during my apprenticeship. Luckily, I was given the opportunity to work with the team’s manager Courtney instead. It was a great experience because I learned how to adapt to a sudden transition, work with various management styles and overcome work obstacles. This has set me up for success with any future endeavors I may encounter.
As far as the future goes for me, I do hope to be a part of the Publicis team even if it’s not a part of the Regulatory team. I love the family dynamic they’ve created for not only myself but for my fellow apprentices. All in all, I really enjoyed my experience here despite any obstacles I may have faced and I would do it all over again.
